Let’s face it. Sitting for 8+ hours a day driving a truck can leave your back and bottom feeling sore and uncomfortable if you don’t have the best semi-truck seats. To help you upgrade your existing seat and find the perfect one to keep you comfortable, check out this guide to truck seats.
Types of Truck Seats
There are three general types of truck seats you can choose from:
1. Low-Profile Truck Seats: Low Profile truck seats utilize smaller sized air suspensions which sit lower and take up less space, allowing for use in cabs with limited room such as medium duty trucks or cab over trucks. Check with Suburban, as direct-bolt-in brackets and/or adapters may be available for your specific truck make and model.
2. Standard Profile Truck Seats: This type of truck seat is the most common style air suspension seat and is found in most conventional style truck cabs. Many of these seats are outfitted to fit most make and model’s seat bolt patterns, with some exceptions. Check with your sales rep to ensure perfect fitment!
3. Medium-Duty Truck Seats: Medium-Duty Truck Seats are designed specifically for certain popular truck applications, smaller than the typical Class 8 Trucks. These include Heavy-Duty Pickup Trucks, Mid-Sized Freightliner cabs and Mid-Sized International cabs. Like other air suspension seats, these are available with many options and creature comforts like adjustable lumbar, isolators, heat and more.
